Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Spam Score calculated?

The score is calculated based on the presence of high-risk keywords (e.g., "free", "winner"), formatting issues (ALL CAPS, excessive punctuation), and other known spam patterns. Each trigger adds points to the score.

Is my data secure?

Yes. By default, all analysis happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. If you use the AI feature, your text is sent directly to OpenAI's API securely; we do not store or see your data.

What constitutes "High Risk"?

A score above 65 is considered High Risk. This means your email has a significant probability of triggering spam filters in Gmail, Outlook, and other providers. You should rewrite flagged sections.

Why use the AI mode?

The standard mode uses a fixed dictionary of spam words. The AI mode (GPT-4) understands context, sarcasm, and nuance, providing much more accurate risk assessments and specific rewriting advice.
